Art began his professional career at Florida Power & Light in 1984 as an engineer and was promoted to Divisions Analyst in 1987 and Divisions Planning Coordinator in 1990. In this position, he assisted the VP of Customer Service with planning and budgeting and helped save over $20M/year in Operating costs. He was then recruited by accounting giant Arthur Anderson as a Consultant in 1994 and worked on Quality and Productivity Improvement Projects. In 1994, he was hired by Southern Wine & Spirits as Miami Operations manager and was promoted to Director of Material Handling in 1999 and Vice President in 2005, where he oversaw all aspects of their National Distribution operations, Material handling and Logistics. His team successfully automated warehouses throughout SWS, implemented WMS and Voice Picking, and developed 7 new Distribution facilities. These facilities have set industry records for productivity and throughput and as part of the corporate acquisition team, assisted with SWS’s rapid growth from $1B to $8B/year. As Director of Distribution for Republic National in 2007-2008, he assisted with M&A, managed automation projects, improved storage and shipping capacity, and assisted with inventory control issues. In 2009-2010 as Vice President of Supply Chain for Duty Free Air & Ship Supply, he oversaw International Supply Chain operations and achieved rapid improvement in quality and efficiency through process improvement and automation.

Christina Abrams worked in government for over 21 years in various levels of increasing responsibility. For the last 10 years of her career, Christina Abrams served as director for the Department of Conferences, Conventions and Public Facilities responsible for the management and operation of major facilities in the City of Miami including the Miami Convention Center, Coconut Exposition Center, Dinner Key Marina, Miamarina at Bayside, Orange Bowl Stadium. During her tenure Ms. Abrams temporarily assumed responsibility for operation Bayfront Park and Bicentennial Park, and Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority (owned Miami Arena) during crisis to improve operations and restore fiscal integrity. Christina Abrams has been recognized for outstanding achievements and extraordinary public service. |
